hi, i’m Erica. i’m the brains and hands behind Midnight Princess.

i’ve been sewing for about twenty years, mostly just for myself, but i finally worked up the courage to start making pieces for other people. i’ve always loved lingerie but i’ve also hated most of what’s out there. so much of it looks tacky or feels scratchy (ew) or has a million straps that take an hour to take on and off. i’ve always been drawn to vintage lingerie, simple pieces that were made to celebrate the female form rather than to please someone else’s gaze.

earlier this year i started experimenting. honestly, i made my first designs to impress someone (i’m a born show-off) but when plans changed, i found myself with an overnight bag of lingerie and nowhere to wear it. what i did find was that i loved how i felt in the pieces. it made me think maybe other people would want that feeling too.

that’s how midnight princess came to be. i call it a collection because it won’t stop at lingerie (there’s more to come 👀)

every piece is painstakingly made. pretty fabrics can be difficult and unforgiving to sew, but i’ll put in the hours until they look the way i imagine. i hope when you wear them, you feel something beautiful too.
